 ROCKY AND SANDY SIDE

At the Sheraton Catania Hotel the panoramic outdoor pool is the oasis for quite and safe relax. Hotel offers the private rocky beach from late April to October ( start and end dates may vary , due to the weather condition at the time ). Drinks and Snacks are available by the pool or on the beach. Lifeguards are on duty daily from 1st of May to 15th October from 9am to 7 pm.

Catania itself offers a 16 km long sandy beach ( La Plaja ), empty oasis are easy to find especially in the months of June and September, but most attractive are the assisted beaches ( for a fee ). Our Front Office will be glad to help with driving instructions. Taormina ( approx 45 km ) offer several kilometers of white gravel.

PLAYING GOLF ?

If you're enjoying playing golf, the closest golf course is located approximatly 45 minutes from Sheraton Catania towards Randazzo (Etna) .

SNOWBOARDING IN SICILY ?

Snow on mountain Etna ( above 2000 mt )  is almost permanent from December to March. Two sites are well equipped with ski-lifts and cabin-cars. Etna South - Nicolosi " Rifugio Sapienza " is the closest to the hotel and Etna North ( Piano Provenzana ). Both provides the equipment and rental services for ski, snowboard and may help you to experience the sea view while skiing. For further information visit www.etnasci.it 

SHOPPING ?

With 14 daily connections, our Shuttle service will bring you to the heart of the shopping area of Catania. Bus stops at Piazza Verga, departure point for fine shopping at Corso Italia, or department stores in crowded Via Etnea. During the month of December, all shops will remain open on Sundays.
